CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER - CHROMATOGRAPHY

Our client is a world leader in measurement, providing core electronic and bio-analytical measurement tools to advance the test and measurement, electronics and life sciences industries.
 
Their life sciences division combines over 35 years’ knowledge, experience and expertise in developing new disease and drug discovery technologies.
 
There is currently an opening for a Customer Service Engineer to service their Life Sciences clients. where you will work in a team that is dedicated to innovation, respect, teamwork and integrity.
 
The role is Sydney based, but services all of NSW so approximately 30% of your time will involve travel in and out of Sydney, and international travel may be required for training.
 
Your key responsibilities will involve:
 
  • The provision of high-level field and technical support. 
  • Installing, implementing and optimising hardware / software / network products and operating systems configurations at customer sites
  • Maintaining and repairing company and multi-vendor systems solutions
  • Diagnosing and resolving product performance issues
  • Leading field services and technical support projects working closely with internal and external customers
 
Qualifications for this position include:
 
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent
  • At least 3 years working with GC or LC, with solid experience in system set-up, installation and troubleshooting
  • GC-MS/LC-MS experience will be highly regarded
  • Method development and experience with autosamplers would be an advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective interpersonal and networking skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Solid organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Current driver's licence
