Our client, a very successful Australian owned and managed company, provides leading technologies to some of the top research groups in Australia. 
Due to growth, they are looking to employ a Research Instrument Specialist to undertake the installation, maintenance and ongoing support of sophisticated, cutting edge instrumentation. 
This is truly a rare opportunity for someone with excellent knowledge of life sciences instrumentation that wants access to the following benefits:

To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, you will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in the life sciences with emphasis on molecular biological processes. 
  • Experience in the use, maintenance and troubleshooting / problem solving of life science equipment.  If you have dedicated service experience or have been a technician working on such equipment, even better.
  • Be known as the person that others want to deal with when something goes wrong.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with the ability to deal with a broad spectrum of people from Laboratory Assistants through to Directors and Research Managers.
  • As the role grows, be comfortable in making technical presentations to users.
  • Have exceptional customer service skills and be committed to providing a quality service.
  • Be flexible and adaptable.  There will be the need to deal with European and American operations, so there will be the need to make late night or early morning teleconferences on an as needs basis.
  • Be comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team as the need arises.
  • Be passionate and committed to science and your work.
  • Have a current drivers license.
  • Must have full work rights.
