Manufacturing Improvement Manager - Australia/New Zealand

Our client has been an international leader in food packaging technologies for over 50 years. Due to internal movement, they are now looking to appoint a Performance Improvement Manager.
 
Reporting to the Global WCM Director and working closely with Australia / New Zealand Senior Business, Functional and Supply Chain Leadership, you will implement operation improvement technologies within the region.
 
This role functions across all disciplines with responsibilities including:
 
  • Identify operating improvement opportunities within the ANZ region and design and implement solutions for these opportunities
  • Assist business and plant managers in valuing, prioritising and managing improvement projects and lead teams to implement these projects
  • Technical analysis of rate, yield, labour productivity and cycle time performance
  • Analyse production process data; document process cycle efficiency and engineer improvements
  • Redesign manufacturing processes to improve equality and reduce production cycle time
  • Assist local managers in establishing employee teams to pursue continuous improvement opportunities, including support for ongoing WCM communications and training
  • Regular visits to each major plant to facilitate these responsibilities
 
 
To be considered for this pivotal role, you will need:
 
  • Business, Engineering or related degree. An MBA would be well regarded
  • Black Belt certification in Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential
  • Mandarin and other Asian language ability will be a plus
  • At least 5 years experience showing increasing levels of responsibility
  • Leadership experience with proven coaching and mentoring skills
  • Willingness to travel
