Food Product Development Technologist x2

  • Multinational Food Ingredient Company
  • Interesting Roles - Great Work Environment
  • Real Career Development Opportunity
Our client is a multinational manufacturer of food ingredients of all kinds. They have 2 newly created roles for "switched-on" Product Development Technologists, reporting to the Technical Manager.

This is a company where they work hard, but also know how to have some fun. This role carries a range of responsibilities and also offers opportunity for career development.

There is a Senior and Junior role - To be a contender for these fantastic roles, you must have the following:

Senior Product Development Technologist:

  • A degree in food science or technology
  • 3-4 years experience working for a similar company (strong preference for ingredient rather than food manufacturing experience)
  • Initiative and a flexible approach to work - some products need to be researched, developed and produced in 24 hrs so there will be some “give and take” between you and the company
  • Supervisory/ leadership skills, as you will run the laboratory in the Technical Manager’s absence
  • Knowledge of customer relations and confidence making presentations to external clients
  • A knowledge of suppliers and relevant business connections will be well regarded

Junior Product Development Technologist:

  • A degree in food science or technology
  • 1-2 years experience working for a similar company (strong preference for ingredient rather than food manufacturing experience)
  • Confidence making presentations to external clients

Both Roles:

  • Some exposure to the meat industry would be an advantage
  • Excellent spoken and written English is crucial
  • A general enjoyment of food is needed to excel in this role – you should enjoy experimenting, tasting and thinking of new ideas and new uses for ingredients
  • Ability to facilitate technology transfer and product development opportunities from international sources
  • Good analytical/instrumental skills
  • A general understanding of pH, nitrates, gums and other elements that affect food products – this should be from experience, not just theory

If you feel you have what it takes to perform in these outstanding roles, please don’t delay. Use the "APPLY" button to forward your CV and a Cover Letter addressing the abovementioned criteria.
