Quality Control Chemist

Our client is a privately owned manufacturer of polyurethane products whose clients are varied and spread across Australia and Asia.
 
Based in the south eastern suburbs, our client is looking for an experienced Quality Control Chemist to take over the QC procedures and in time support the product development program. 
 
Working in a small team, the duties of this role include:
  • Routine production batch testing and modifying batches as required
  • Managing the product release process
  • Updating the company computer based management system with QC data, production and raw material consumption
  • Supporting the Technical Manager in product development and product analysis
  • Customer service testing of finished products
  • Maintain calibration schedule and records for the lab equipment
  • Participate in cross functional improvement teams.
 
To be eligible for this role you must have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry
  • At least 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001
  • Experience in working with Australian and British standards in the laboratory environment
  • Experience in handling dangerous and hazardous substances
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
