Food Technician - Night Shift - FMCG

Due to growth, our client, a well-known Australian manufacturer of premium pet food products, is looking for a Food Technician to join their QA team immediately!!   
 
Reporting to the Team Leader, this  role is night-shift based, where the successful candidate will be expected to work between the hours of 7:00pm and 3:00am - you will receive generous compensation!! 
 
Testing regimes will be ensuring goods produced are compliant with strict ISO standards and HACCP principles. QA testing will be conducted both in the laboratory and factory environments.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to perform, amongst others, the following tasks:
 
  • Control and maintain Bill of Materials
  • Conduct chemical/biological/microbiological testing in accordance with standards
  • Communicate directly with technical maintenance and production departments
  • Prepare routine and on-routine reports
  • Ensure quality standards and packaging of finished products is in accordance with company specifications
  • Adhere to all appropriate health and safety procedures
 
To be successful for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 
  • Tertiary qualification or diploma in Technology
  • Ability to work well autonomously while following the correct policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate articulately with internal and external personnel, and maintain working relationships with production staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Competence in the use of computers and computer software
