One of 4 world wide facilities, this busy laboratory is located in Bangkok, Thailand. Servicing the local market, the laboratory is the core hub for pesticide and herbicide analysis on food products.
 
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manager to relocate to Bangkok and work in a State of the Art Laboratory. The contract is for 3 years and will be negotiated yearly.

Reporting to the overall Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of activities in the Chromatography Section, including but not limited to staff, instruments and customer services. You will also have an input in project management, approval of analysis and management of the quality system. 
 
In addition to the technical aspect, you will also be required to manage the business, budgets and profit development activities. This will include marketing, participating and organising management meetings and capital expenditure.
 
For success in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry. Higher degrees welcomed to apply
 
  • Ability to successfully manage commercial laboratories. At least 5 years management experience of large groups of chemists and technicians.
 
  • Strong technical understanding of ISO 17025 requirements and upkeep of quality systems including method validation
 
  • Excellent understanding of pesticide/herbicide residue analysis, drugs, vitamins and food additives testing
 
  • Excellent technical knowledge of chromatography, LCMSMS, GCMSMS, LC and GC
 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal/HR skills
 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
 
  • MUST be able to relocate to Bangkok
 
  • MUST be open to multicultural environment
 
  • Willing to travel
