Chemist - Contract

Our client, a leading polymer manufacturer, is looking for a Contract Chemist to join their team for the next six months.
 
This is a full-time position, requiring a hands-on chemist with demonstrated initiative and enthusiasm.  The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in chemistry or related field up to the level of honours.  Laboratory experience will be highly regarded but not necessary especially if you have excellent academic results.
 
The successful candidate will be performing routine QC analysis using instrumentation such as FTIR, AAS, XRF, Viscometry, Distillation, Flash Point, Classical wet chemistry and GC, as well as conducting mechanical testing on the manufactured products.
 
This role will be suited to someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Working within a team, you will need to be an effective team player who can work autonomously as the need arises.
