Our client is an independent Australian company that manufactures and markets a full range of specialised and high quality automotive lubricants for modern and high performance vehicles. They are looking to employ a Quality Inspector to ensure the quality of product leaving the premises meets the Company's stringent quality criteria. Initial employment will be over a 4 month contract, with view to permanency on completion.

The successful applicant will undertake basic quality control duties of the Company's oil production facility such as weighing, inspection of drums and the checking of packaging and labelling material. A summary of the job description is given below:
 
  • Checking of packaging materials upon receipt and during production
  • Ensuring correct labelling has been assigned for each batch
  • Assessing the quality of containers prior to filling
  • Checking the filled drums' weights are correct
  • Recording of Quality Control checks
  • Entering of data onto an Excel spreadsheet
  • Filing and maintenance of records
 
The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:
 
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, warehousing or logistics
 
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with both Production personnel as well as management
 
  • Good attention to detail
 
  • Good numeracy and writing skills
 
  • Basic knowledge of Excel and Word for input of data
 
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
 
  • Excellent time management skills
 
  • As most of this work will take place in the Production area, you will need to be able to manoeuvre production samples to perform your tasks
 
  • MUST hold current forklift licence
 
  • Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
