Electronic Engineer / Software Programmer

Our client, a major government research organisation is looking to employ an Electronics Engineer or Software Programmer on a 3-6 month contract.
 
The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and have qualifications in software programming and/or electronics engineering. 
 
Experience working with wireless communications, modification of electronic devices for wireless data transfer and programming of software interfaces would be highly regarded.
 
You will be part of the project team involved with:
 
  • Designing, developing and the implementation of wireless communication systems for data transfer
 
  • Modification of scientific instruments for wireless data transfer
 
  • Design and development of software interfaces for expedited data processing and analysis
 
  • Support to R&D projects and other ongoing programs
 
So, if you are someone with some experience that would allow you to connect a number of laboratory devices to a laptop, this is the opportunity for you. This project will assist in expediting data transfer and will require the development of software interfaces to allow this to occur. 
 
We are looking for someone who will enjoy working within a highly motivated team of chemists and engineers dedicated to the development and testing of individual protective equipment.
 
To be short-listed for this great opportunity you will be comfortable and willing to work outside your current training as the project base may be widespread, encompassing traditional R&D activities alongside routine test and evaluation duties.  A high level of communication skills, both written and oral is required.
 
The successful applicant will be required to gain a RESTRICTED security clearance and therefore must be an Australian citizen.
