Established in 1931, Fuchs Australia is at the leading edge of application technology and development of all types of rapidly biodegradable lubricants and functional fluids.
 
Due to growth, they are currently looking fro an R&D Chemist with the view of becoming Laboratory Manager in the next couple of years.
 
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will undertake research to understand the chemistry of lubricant formulation under the guidance of the current management team.
 
In this position you will enjoy the practical aspects of formulation and product development in what is a semi autonomous role. Your ability to understand product requirements combined with a passion for chemistry and the wish to become the laboratory leader will set you apart.
 
As the successful candidate you will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and Industry experience in formulating industrial products such as cleaners, paints, emulsions or similar. Along with being a team player, your leadership qualities will ensure the laboratory team maintains a centrally focussed goal - THE CONTINUAL SUCCESS OF FUCHS.
 
Your communication skills will provide customers and your colleagues with clear and concise technical information. You will be dealing with both internal and external customers routinely.  A commitment to Quality and Safety in this Industry will be required as will the ability to manage multiple projects.  You will need good problem solving and troubleshooting skills as you will also be responsible for dealing with any Production issues that may arise, especially with new or reformulated products.
