Food Research & Technology - Project Leader

  • Combine Process and Product Development to Maintain Market Leadership
  • Great role for a Leader who Loves Autonomy and has Innovative Skills
  • A Role where Passion and Creativity Lead to Success
Our client is a household name we all love.  Due to expansion, we are searching for an experienced project manager/leader with energy, spark and an innovative mind to improve manufacturing efficiencies and/or productivity, for our global client.

In this role, you will be expected to drive competitiveness for consumer product preference and make the necessary process changes to ensure these preferences are met. In addition, you will be required to improve manufacturing efficiencies working on a number of projects within the business.  You will be extremely well organised because there will be a number of projects running concurrently and you will be the "expert" for these processes.

The role will also require you to build, develop and maintain strong collaborative networks throughout the organisation including the global centre of excellence, whilst aligning and supporting both global and local requirements.

In order to be considered for this role, the following strict criteria MUST be met:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, preferably at the Bachelor or Honours level.
  • Several years experience in product development in the Food Industry
  • Demonstrated multiple project management experience on an on-going basis.
  • Proactive approach towards innovation.
  • Proven ability to improve processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work to  deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a broad spectrum of people from the Production floor through to senior management.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Highly motivated and proactive in your approach to work.
  • Ability to travel as the need arises, as you will be working in manufacturing environments approximately 50% of the time.
  • As you will need to organise projects to align with manufacturing requirements there will be times where you will need to work outside of "normal" hours.  This may mean having to work during shift hours or on weekends.

If you can demonstrate what we are looking for, we would like to hear from you. A competitive salary and good bonus scheme will be offered to the successful candidate!

This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working in a responsible, autonomous roll.  It will be challenging, but what great opportunities aren't?  If you are a natural leader that wants to drive performance to achieve exceptional results, this is the position for you.

To apply, please send your covering letter addressing the above criteria with a current resume by using the link below.
