Pharmaceutical Chemist- Quality Control

 A full-time position has become available for a Quality Control Analyst within a worldwide leading pharmaceutical organisation.   Working on a 12 month Fixed Term Tenure, you will be entitled to all the benefits of a permanent role.  This includes 4 weeks annual leave, personal leave and public holidays. 
 
The successful candidate will be  undertaking the following tasks:
 
  • Analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products. 
 
  • Hands on operation and calibration of major instrumentation such as HPLC  (Waters Millenium32 or Empower preferred).
 
  • Ensuring GLP and GMP requirements are met as well as all testing complying with company SOP's.
 
  • Write and execute lab investigations using LIMS and/or other QC procedures
 
To be considered for this role you MUST possess the following criteria:
 
  • BSc preferably in Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Analytical Chemist within the Pharmaceutical Industry or a consulting laboratory testing pharmaceuticals.
 
  • A strong background in HPLC instrumentation  and associated troubleshooting. 
 
  • Excellent wet chemistry techniques.
 
  • Have worked in a GLP/GMP environment
 
  • Understanding of regulations of TGA and FDA
 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication in English, problem solving and time management skills.
 
  • Excellent attitude towards work and other team members.
