Quality Systems Coordinator - Food Testing Laboratory

Our client is a leading Global Consulting Laboratory providing inspection and testing services to a wide range of clients in the food and Agribusiness Industries.
 
They are currently looking for a scientist to fulfil the role of Quality Systems Coordinator to manage all quality related issues.
 
This is a full-time permanent role for an exciting leader in their field.
 
The key responsibilities of the role will be the coordination, maintenance and development of the company's quality assurance system.  Experience undertaking NATA audits is a requirement for this role.
 
The successful candidate will ensure the Quality Standards of the company are maintained. You will raise and resolve any non-conformances, as well as be responsible for updating the quality documentation and records.
 
To be considered for this exciting and challenging role, you will meet the following criteria:
 
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Food Technology or Microbiology.
 
  • Experience coordinating QA functions  including Verification activities, corrective actions and Internal audits will be highly regarded.
 
  • Experience with NATA audits in a food testing laboratory.
 
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and regulations including ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 guidelines.
 
 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, plan and coordinate your workload.
 
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills especially when it comes to technical matters.
 
  • Sound understanding of nutritional panel concepts as well as QA principles and practices.
 
  • Be highly motivated and able to work as part of a team. 
 
  • Must have a practical outlook without compromising attention to detail.
 
  • Excellent Computer skills, experience with MS Office is essential
