Quality Compliance Officer - Pharmaceuticals

Our client, an Australian owned pharmaceutical company in Sydney, is currently looking for a P/T QA Officer to assist the QA Manager in the area of Quality Assurance. 
 
This is a contract role and will require the candidate to work two full days a week or the equivalent hours over three days.  There is a possibility that the hours of work will increase from 15 per week to 22.5 per week in the future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for checking that products are manufactured and packed in accordance with the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice and for maintaining documentation required by TGA, to release finished goods for sale.

Specifically, you will be:
 
  • Examining incoming goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Reviewing accompanying documentation, product and packaging yields and record product analyses on QA reports.
  • Approving of materials for use in production and release for sale of finished goods.
  • Ensuring retention samples are kept and stored in accordance with code of GMP

To be short-listed you will need to meet the following criteria:
 
  • Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Previous experience in QA within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Able to write technical reports when needed
  • Ability to work as a team member effectively
  • Ability to work autonomously without supervision
  • Sound time managements kills to ensure deadlines and targets are met
  • Good attention to detail
