Technical Services Manager - Regulatory Food Compliance

Our client, a well respected global company, is currently looking to employ a Technical Services Manager.  Based in Melbourne's SE, you will report to the Technical Services Director. 
 
With two direct reports and a group of experienced consultants, it will be your responsibility to manage a group of technical consultants servicing a major client account.  You will be the Company interface with this client ensuring all their compliance needs are met.
 
To be successful in your application you will have a background in food manufacturing with a retail focus, combined with experience in regulatory affairs.  You will be knowledgeable in all aspects of food compliance and consistently exhibit outstanding customer liaison skills.
 
 
Other requirements for this role include:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in food or other scientific discipline
  • Experience in food compliance with a good understanding of food standards and the importance of these from a product development perspective
  • Must understand the importance of, and pressure involved in, getting products to the marketplace
  • Exhibit exceptional administration capabilities to ensure processes occur in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate
  • Have a friendly yet assertive personality that will engender the maintenance of strong relationships with Key Account Representatives
  • Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to manage and maintain tight deadlines/timelines
  • Professional presentation together with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel to Sydney especially whilst establishing your internal and external relationships
  • Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills
