Technical Compliance Associate- Contract Role

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Chemist with an understanding of Australian Legislation in relation to Product Safety, to join their team for approx 8 weeks of contract work over the Christmas period.
 
Working in the Technical Services Team, you will provide consulting services across a number of disciplines including Chemistry, microbiology, Chemical Regulations Compliance and many other legislations.
 
 
The key function of this role will be to manage and optimise the assessment of non-food products for the company's key clients. Some of these responsibilities include;
 
 
  • Verification of supplier specifications as meeting Australian Guidelines
  • Review of Proposed Product Test plans
  • Review of Product labelling
  • Provide advice on Australian Standards and regulations in relation to labelling and product safety requirements
  • Liaise between manufacturers, agents and third party testing institutes to ensure time lines are met
  • Maintenance of all necessary documentation
 
 
Whilst there will be a small hand-over period at the beginning of the role, as this a contract position to cover leave over the summer you will need to pick up the requirements of the role very quickly. Previous experience in Quality, Operations and/or Technical Services will be a strong advantage.
 
 
To be considered for this exciting and varied contract role you must meet the following criteria;
 
 
  • Completed a Science Degree in Chemistry or similar
  • Some working knowledge of GMP, Industrial Manufacturing, QA Systems, Microbiology and Chemistry
  • Some knowledge of Chemical Regulators such as NICNAS, APVMA, ACCC and TGA
  • Excellent communication skills, time management skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
