CLIENT
Our client is an important Petrochemical Company who produces their own Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). As an ISO 9001 certified company they are committed to producing Quality Products as well as appropriate documentation to meet their Regulatory Requirements.
 
ROLE
We are looking for a candidate that is currently functioning in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing the MSDS's and all other information in regards to starting materials and finished products. You will use your thorough understanding of Australian Requirements under NOHSC and WHS regulations. Label Compliance will also be a function in this role. This is a fantastic Full Time, Permanent Position, with a forward thinking and growing company.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemistry, Occupational Hygiene/Safety  or equivalent
  • Mandatory knowledge  and experience with Australian  requirements in regards to Preparation of Safety Data Sheets and Labelling of  Hazardous Substances
  • Conversant with GHS Labelling + Classification of Chemicals
  • Knowledge of the NZ HSNO Requirements
  • Working knowledge of the Land, Air and Sea Transportation Codes as well as SUSMP is Desirable
  • An understanding of Quality, Safety + Environmental certification systems would be highly regarded
  • As you will need to impart this knowledge to others, a Cert IV in Assessment and Workplace Training would be highly regarded
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills are essential
  • Computer Literacy including experience in SAP R3 is preferred
