CHEMICAL ENGINEER- ENTRY LEVEL

Our client is a Global Chemical Company with its Head Office in Melbourne and over 20 manufacturing plants world-wide.
 
Due to staff movement, a unique opportunity has become available for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join this dynamic and fast moving business.
 
This is an entry-level role into the Global Manufacturing and Technology Group. You will be assisting the group with tasks including the development of new products and the management of group assets, as well as supporting the administration requirements of the business.
 
Part of your role will also expose you to dealing with capital expenditure and planning, efficiencies of plants, mass balances and business/plant acquisitions.
 
As with many global companies, opportunities for advancement are available for candidates who display initiative, a solid work ethic and a strong company focus.
 
To be eligible for this position you must have:
 
  • Minimum Chemical Engineering Degree.
    A double degree with Business or Science would be advantageous.
 
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English as you will be liaising with Senior Technical Management and writing various reports.
 
  • The ability to work independently and within a small fast paced team.
 
  • The ability to be flexible and be able to multi-skill into different roles as needed at the time.
 
  • Good computer skills including Excel, Solver, Goal Seek add ins.
 
  • Chinese language skills would be an advantage.
