Due to company growth and development, our client, a company involved in the research, development and manufacture of medical devices, is looking to employ a Calibration Technician.
The Company provides a very supportive and flexible work environment and as such they are looking for a responsible, honest and ethical person.  
In this role you will be required to:
  • Perform calibrations on the manufacturing equipment as well as the items produced.
  • Maintain the calibration of equipment used in the calibration procedures.
  • Develop and maintain an equipment maintenance/calibration register and log that will ensure that all equipment used in the processes is up-to-date and ready for use.
  • Develop and maintain a manufacturing services maintenance register to ensure ancillary equipment, such as compressed air are within specification.
To be considered for this position you will need to meet the following requirements:
  • A Diploma or Certificate in science or engineering in conjuction with industrial experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in calibration in a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of people in the Company.
  • Excellent time management skills as you will need to ensure that calibrations are performed when required.
  • You must have an aptitutde for dealing with ""hands-on"" applications as well as administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be resposnible for your own work further to being trained.
  • Good attention to detail as you will be required to record the data generated.
The right candidate will be well rewarded with a salary of $40K - $60K plus super depending on qualifications and experience.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to take on responsibility for an important function that is intergral to the success of the company.
