Our client is a well known global Consulting Laboratory providing inspection and testing services to a wide range of clients.
Due to staff movement, they are currently looking to employ a scientist with exposure to quality systems such as  ISO 9000 and NATA/ISO 17025. This is an entry level position and as such we will consider graduates with a couple of years experience.
This role is an important and responsible one and presents a rare opportunity for a self starter with initiative to move out of the laboratory and into a technical position. 
As the successful candidate, your position title will be Quality Assurance Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for the continual development and maintenance of the laboratory’s quality assurance systems. Other duties will include the liaison with current and new clients with regards to developing and expanding the business.  
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • As this is an entry level position we envisage that the successful candidate will have a couple of years experience in a laboratory or similar environment.
  • A good working knowledge of quality systems in general, standards, procedures and regulations will be highly regarded as would the knowledge of ISO 9001 or NATA/ISO 17025.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as this role will require you to write reports and liaise with a variety of people at all levels.
  • Good attention to detail is a must for this position as you will be dealing with quality systems.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills.  
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exposure to any type of business development or similar will be highly regarded.
